I can support you on your journey to change

Christine Weber

PACFA Registered Counsellor & Psychotherapist in Prahran

I work with people struggling with mental health challenges and life changes. Focusing on each individual’s capacity for healing and growth, I offer empathy, clarity and a way forward.

Building a therapeutic alliance between client and therapist is an essential element of counselling. My professional expertise and calm, supportive nature creates an environment where you can feel safe to give voice to your emotional life and struggles.

Like most people, I have had to confront changes and transitions in my life. I have resisted change and embraced it; welcomed it and sometimes regretted it. Along the way I have learnt a lot about myself, and about what it is to be human. Ultimately, I trust that being deeply aware of our personal beliefs, values, weaknesses and aspirations is fundamental to living a content and satisfied life.

Areas of expertise & interest

Working with individuals, couples and families from diverse backgrounds, I help with issues ranging from identity and relationships through to anxiety, grief, depression and chronic trauma resulting from abuse and neglect early in life.  I also work with people to navigate life changes associated with health, work, aging and choices.

As a therapist I have longstanding experience in sexuality counselling and am passionate about working with gender diverse individuals and couples.
